Club Fitting in Indy

I am in Indy working and had today off(horrible day outsite), so I wanted to get fit for clubs to see if my current clubs are at least close enough. I call Golf Solutions in Zionsville. They made all the arrangements. I met with Leith Anderson, who just moved here from San Fran, where he was a Golf Digest top 100 fitter.

 

We went through the short irons, long irons and driver. Rob, the teaching pro there, watched most of the fitting. The irons went smoothly, then we got to the driver. I couldn't hit my driver worth a crap. Leith, instead of trying to sell me something that I didn't need, made a couple of minor suggestions to help see if we could get the driver working. He also then asked if I would want to work with Rob right then and see if he could help. Within a few swings, they had my swing speed up. They also got me from going 3*+ Out/in to 7* in/out on the first swing. I didn't stay at 7*,lol. By the time I was done, I was consistently hitting in/out with more club head speed. I obviously need to work on some things, but these guys were very helpful.

 

I talked to them for a little bit after the fitting/lesson, and they are going to have a full on putting lab there soon(I think). It was the most productive 1 1/2 hours that I have spent on my game in a long time, if not ever.

Thanks for sharing. I'm looking to do a driver fitting soon and am not crazy about my options here in Lafayette.
