I recently picked up a golo mid off ebay and wanted to cut it down to turn it into a counterbalanced putter, but I was a little disappointed with the condition due to some nicks and scratches on the top line. So there was only one thing to do. Restore it! So I started by taking a hand sander to sand out all of the scratches on the top line. Since the black finish was starting to wear due to the sanding it appeared to be a darkish grey colors. So I decided to go all out and just sand all of the finish off to get a nice satin silver color. After hours of work I was able to sand off all the finish. Then I cut it down to 38 inches and threw a Winn counterbalanced grip on and paint-filled it with some tiffany blue and white. It turned out better than I expected, if i can only find a headcover to match it!

anyone know if the putter will rust without t a finish? id like to do this to my putter

Will not rust its stainless, sandblasting is much more effective and will give a nice even finish

Looks really cool with the black left in the face mill.

what kind of paint did you use for the target line?
