Hello from Southern VA

What's up guys,

 

Long time golfer and I am absolutely obsessed with the game. I am 24 years old and looking to take my game to the next level within the next year or so. I have been playing golf for about 12 years and I am 2 handicap player. However, I had a bad motorcycle accident about two years ago that took me away from the game due to a broken back and I am still trying to get my game back to the level I was at before the accident.

 

I have played competitive golf in high school and even competed in regional playoffs 3 of my 4 years in high school. Never made a state tourney however which still bothers me to this day.

 

I played a little golfer in college but was more focused on baseball during my college years. Now that the motorcycles and baseball are out of my life golf has taken center stage again. I believe within the next year I can make a run at a local mini tour.

 

Until then, I am going to compete on either the GolfWeek Amateur Tour or the Golf Channel Am Tour to get some experience back playing tournament golf. I have read a lot of threads about those tours and they seem pretty well organized and well ran.

 

Looking forward to reading through this forum and possibly meeting some of you guys our on the amateur tours.

Hey Michael. I live in RVA currently but will be moving further south in a few months. I also travel around VA heavily for work. We should trip to pick up a round together sometime. I am around your same age. Welcome!
