Hey MatucH, a buddy and I have a Friday morning tee time on Mt Kidd for 9:00am. Anything you can do to hook us up?

I'm just curious if we have enough people to make this happen still? I'm leaving on vacation on June 3, and if this isn't going to happen, I might be able to change my plans and leave a day earlier.

I'm from Calgary and haven't played Innisfail for about 15 yrs but would make the trip to play with fellow wrxer's!

We have maybe 6 guys. I will let you guys know if this is still going to happen in the next day. I am just trying to see if my teaching pro is going to come because it sounds like we are going to Wolf Creek if anyone else is interested? How about Wolf creek? Sounds like Thursday or Friday? Found out where we are going to play in Edmonton next week. We are going to Redtail Landing, The Derrick, Belvedere, Windemere, Wolf Creek and Riverside for a crap load of rounds. I can't wait to see some nice courses again!!

I might be interested...I think we are going to do a practice round on the Friday, qualifying on Monday, usual Saturday/Sunday play/practice.

 

But let me know and if I can play I will, but time might be a bit tight.

 

As for courses, I'd stay away from the Glendale this year....they has lost 14/18 greens over the winter. The course is a mess right now. I guess they used some new type of "super tarp" or whatever and needless to say it was less that super.

I just found that out too. He says instead we will be going to Windemere. Sounds like a thurs or Fri time at Wolf Creek though. I'll keep ya posted HB.

Might have a chance to go The Petroleum Club with my cousin's husband. He tells me it's an OK course also. Have you been?

Have a few friends that are members and the P club, haven't played this year, but hear the greens are in really good shape (no dog bites/bear tracks like previous years). Pretty straight forward layout.

 

The windemere is a great course....they had some problems with fungus on the greens last year so they are still pretty firm right now.

But nice and fast I hear! Great layout, bunkers are placed in all the landing areas and green side bunkers are very deep!

When you play it, there are a few tricky greens where you swear it's a uphill putt....but nope it's downhill.

Well I'll have to tell him to set that one up then. So windemere is a pretty nice setup? I enjoy courses that make you think a little bit. Not just bomb a driver and no trouble to be found. Strategically placed bunkers is always a tell tale sign of what's in store around the bend... Love that style of course. Hard and fast greens??!! :tongue: What more could a guy ask for??!!! :rofl:

Thats alot of nice courses you are going to play, if you get a chance you should play Blackhawk its just south of the P Club its a great track.

Well guys, we are not going to make the Innisfail trip. Not enough guys so we will just be golfing around Edmonton. Going to Wolf Creek though. There is four of us going as of right now.
