New member from Phx Az

Hello! Just found this section so this will be a belated greeting. I am 27 and currently live in the Phoenix area. I have played golf since I was a kid but didn't get serious about it until high school. I have played off and on since then. Recently, I have gotten more serious about golf by taking lessons and updating my equipment to newer tech. I also practice a heck of a lot more and practice a whole lot smarter than I used to. In other words I am much more structured and have specific goals I am working toward with my practice.

 

Joined the forum after lurking and getting some good opinions on training aids. Sorry to say I didn't use to many of your reviews when selecting equipment. Had to test it all myself!

 

Lastly, I don't have a true usga handicap from a club but I have used online handicappers to figure a handicap. According to those online handicap tools I am generally given a 13 handicap. Hoping to be single digits by the end of the year.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Ahwatukee. Been here for about 3 years. I haven't played any courses in the west valley yet. Do you have any favorite courses out there? Need a recommendation whenever I decide to make the trek west.

golf club of estrella is a great course and this time of year is really nice price

and quite a few reasonable courses but nothing too special
