Cameron Circa - Pro Plat not from Cameron Studio

Saw this on ebay and wanted some thoughts. It looks like a nice Pro Plat. finish, but how do you guys feel about this type of a finish being done by someone outside of the Cameron Studio.

Also - the seller states the weight is 340 grams. I can only assume the additional 10 grams is from the Pro Plat. finish.

I can understand that as it's not from the Scotty Custom shop that it will not have the same value as if it had been and that future authentication and resale is affected.

Still, it's an absolute peach of a putter! I have this exact model and it's the best putter I've ever had. The finish and paint on this one is first class and the added weight of the pro plat would make it even better as a gamer for most people (if you could stand to put it in play!) and with the added benefit of being more damage resistant.

If you think that the price is fair, I'd vote to get it.

That's what I was curious about. It is stated that it's 3x Pro Plat finish, but I didn't know if that would add 10 grams.

It is a nice looking putter...I'm somewhat curious how a Pro. Plat. finish outside the studio will stand-up. It's not like a buyer can call the guy a year later to complain about a poor finish. (cool)

You should have no issues with the finish's durability. Nickel plating isn't exact rocket science and is a durable plating especially on a putter.

I understand that its a very nice looking putter and all that, but why does the seller use all that sensationalistic writing to try and sell it? makes it seem like he's trying to hide something or has some reason why he expects it not to be bid on. If he knows how to make a putter look like that then just state the facts and let the buyers see its good and ask more questions if they want too.

I have a friend who bought a putter from this seller.

The finish is not nearly as durable as the Cameron pro-platinum. It was rusting after a few rounds. I am not sure where he got the aftermarket finish done, but I would not reccomend it!
