Club Fitter Scotland - Glasgow

Does anyone know of a reputable club fitter in Glasgow Scotland? Which carries JDM brands and has a trackman?

Check out Pure Forged Golf. I've only looked on their website but they have a good selection of JDM brands as well as offering custom fitting.

+1 on pure forged, I've been spoiled in the US for golf shops and club builders.. Honestly the UK sucks for custom golf and decent golf equipment. I came back home and was in
Stirling this week, so disappointing. Makes me wanna startup a proper golf shop with custom club building ;-)

I was in Glasgow a few weeks
Called out to pure forged golf and to my horror they where in the middle of moving out to castle mearns golf 9 hole course with driving range
Met with jaimes wife who showed me some of there stock
I felt like I died and went to JDM heaven
Epon Miura honnma etc
This guy stocks the lot
He had a huge demo bag full of epon Miura vega honnma chiqura etc
A full wall of exotic shafts fitted with different adapters
Flight scope monitor
My only regret was I was flying home to ireland the following day and didn't get to meet Jaime
There is another member here close to Glasgow area Stephen Bedford
He is based in old Ben Sayers golf factory in North Berwick trades under Fit. For purpose golf
He also looks a very good club fitter with great choice of gear

Thanks, for all the replies. Has anybody had a set built by [color=#282828][size=4]pure forged golf? Does anybody know if pure forged also carries us brands (i.e. callaway, Talormade)? The fitting is for my co worker and I don't want to force him into JDM but give him the option to try them against your standard US gear.[/size][/color]

Please attend Scott Gourlay at Craig Miller GC Edinburgh, he has Trac man he is 100%, you will not be disappointed he is also cheaper than any other fitter and incompletely impartial.

You need to do some home work, before you pass comment on Scotland's golf facilities open your eyes and don't forget Scotland is Number one for golf. Ya diddy

Look er pal.. I dont need to do my home work. Born and bread, i hate to say Scotland use to be number one, it still is in a way in certain areas eg LINKS etc and its history..i really wish it still was truly! After spending along time living in the states, i gotta be honest you, just cant beat the USA for what it has to offer in terms of golf and most of all golf equipment and fitting centers which scotland is lacking.. No need for yer last words Mr newbie.

Only a fool would compare USA to Scotland in terms of numbers and equipment available, do the stats:[list]
[*]578 Clubs = 230,000 golfers in Scotland
[*]15,500 Clubs = 24.1 million golfers in USA

Of course there are not the numbers of JDM fitters in Scotland as per the US do the math. You go ahead and open your shop do you think the JDM suppliers are going to offer you the same supply of stock, when they have other accredited fitters within a 2 hr drive radius in the whole of Scotland. If you were committed to purchasing Japanese clubs you would have done your home work and realized all the clubs available in the US / Japan are available in the UK all you have to do is go and get fit pay the cash and bingo. Newbie our not 40 yrs plus golfing entitles me to an opinion and one that I believe is well balanced.

Settle down guys. I moved form the UK to Western Australia. Now whilst the quality of life is amazing I have a 4 hour flight to even see JDM equipment or 5 hour flight to see a good fitter with flight monitor only then to get absolutely stiffed on price!!!! It's all relative

if you are though in Edinburgh I would recommend Scott too. I've had good fittings there and really trust him. Prices are reasonable and the service is excelent. His "exotic" selection is probably more limited than you are looking for by the sound of things though.
