I'm considering selling my Tour Issued Adams 3070DF 14.5* with Zcom TW74 (8.5-9/10 condition), but I'm really not sure what to ask....you don't see too many being sold on the various boards. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell or not, need another range session with it, but I'm curious to know just in case. Thanks.

I've had mine for sale for about a month for $250...doesn't seem like people go gaga over these even considering these are the best fairway metals to buy and I am not about to let it go for $150. Rather keep it than to dump it.

Yours is the DF model which typically goes for more. If it is the non wieght head even more than that. Problem is people dont realize what a quality club this is. I just picked one up for 145!!!! Over at the "other site" they sell just the head for 400.

I thought the version with the weight is worth more than the non-weight heads?

It is....not. The non wieghted heads are VERY hard to find. The problem CKAY is that the lp model is more or less just like the 4060. The reason the DF is so popular is most of the pros that were playing these sticks wanted a deeper face model so that the club didnt look so shallow at address. The LP is a great club off the deck, not so much off the tee.

I wasn't talking about rarity, I was simply talking about price tag for a new head. You are right though, the nonweight 3070s are tough to find. I prefer the nonweight 4060 over the weight 4060 but the nonweights are cheaper.

Price tag relative to what though. I mean they made 100 non weight heads. So given that you know that and you indicte it in an ebay auction you would get more money.

Price is relative to preference. If people prefer the look or knowing that there is a removable weight, they are willing to spend a little bit more money. It is an "added feature" to a product and thus warrants an upcharge...the benchmark I use for pricing Adams heads is from the only source I know that has them and they have a fairly large upcharge on weighted heads over nonweighted heads regardless of production numbers.

I don't think it would matter whether it is 1/100 or 1/50 or even 1/20...there is a stigma out there with regards to Adams products and the vast majority is not willing to spend no matter how good their products are but throw a TM logo on that thing and they'll easily pay double what they would with it wearing an Adams logo. Look at the A Tour reds...1/10 set, a guy can't GIVE them away. They are priced lower than the last set of A Tour blacks I saw sell, and still no bites on the reds. It really is tempting to buy it up for myself but then again, I'm no equipment ho.

I agree with you there is a stigma that adams golf is a lesser brand. However the difference between the wieghted head and non wieghted is that the non wieght definetly seems to have a more solid feel to it. Since there is no hole in the bottom of the sole of the club.

People do not understand how overwhelmingly popular the 3070df 3 wood is becoming on smaller pro tours. I was at an event watching a college teammate of mine play and all four in the group had one.

I really need to get a hold of a 4555 19 degree. I hear that is the best stick they have made to date.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
