Bridgestone j33 Forged Black Satin Wedges

Where are they?

I thought these were supposed to be released Oct 1 but I have not seen them. Any idea when they will be in stores? Surely they wont be for $159 each like it says on the Bridgestone website.

I just got them today (full set 52,56,and 60 degs). I got them through a sale from local pro shop who happens to know bridgestone rep. but still had to wait for a month. I got them for $120 each but standard shaft should be a bit cheaper since I ordered the SL version. Maybe you should try calling bridgestone's office and ask for closest rep. in your area. I'm sure these wedges will stay with me for a long while! Luv them!

How do you find the spin on these black wedges?? Im in need of some new wedges and am also considering either y-cutters or spin milled!

I've used the Mizuno black ox before switching to these wedges and find them to be very similar in terms of spinning. The better thing about bridgestone wedges is the less damage done to the ball. However, I find that the dark stain color starts to fade fairly fast after only a few rounds and they might potentially rust pretty quickly over time. Nonetheless, I am impressed with the performance on these wedges. Would definitely recommend to try them out.

The only place I've seen Bridgestone clubs is in the Pro Shop at courses. Stopped by 3 Bay Area Golfsmith's, none of them carry Bridgestone clubs. Check out their website- I think they have a dealer locater.

A little off topic but I am very frustrated with Golf Smith.

All the hacks in my are go there and thus all the other stores have to close down. While this may not be a bad thing to some, I feel that for the terrible stock Golf Smith offers (the one by my house rarely has any lofts in drivers below 9.5° and is fully staffed with retads who tell me nobody makes a 7.5° driver) and only carry 4 or 5 other brands than the ones they own or are affiliated with. The club maker at the store by my house was telling me that with my 130 mph swing speed and high launch high spin tendencies, I would need a regular flex NVS rather than an X-stiff NV! Even my mom knew he was an idiot! I was asking a sales guy in June when they would start carrying the 905 series and he didn't know what i was talking about and started telling me I was thinking of the 983 series! I think they just started carrying Ben Hogan Hybrids too!

Sorry about the rant, I saw Golf Smith written and I had to unload.
