wish me luck

It looks like the weather is gonna be pretty foul both days this weekend. So give me some ideas for keeping my head straight during miserable rainy weather. Wish me luck this is the first tourney that I've played in a while.

Try to stay as dry as possible. If I know its going to pour down rain I bring 4 pairs of socks and change every few holes. It sounds like a ridiculous waste of time but even with waterproof shoes nothing feels better than dry socks when its just pouring buckets out. Fresh socks and FJ Rain Gloves.

Like dcmidnight said, dress for it. Make sure you stay warm, cold and wet is a real nasty thing. On top of all that, go into it with a positive outlook. Think how much everyone else will be miserable and bitchy, and use that as a mental boost. There are always guys in cycling who go better when it rains, and they all tell you: " I know everyone else hates it, so that's a plus for me".

Other than dressing for it, don't let it get in your head. Just remember that shots won't travel as far and they won't roll out as much. Other than that, play your normal game and don't think too much about the weather. Relax and have fun and compete with only yourself and I'm sure you will do great.

By the way, I got a pair of waterprrof socks at a skiing store. These things are incredible. My shoes can be totally soaked but my feet are warm and dry. I think they are called sealskin or something like that.

Like everyone else has said dress for. rain pants, rain jacket, rain gloves, rain hat and socks are a must. Also a good umbrella. LIke is says in Tiger's book focus on what you can control, your game, and not on what you can't control, the weather.

Water proof shoes! Their is nothing worse than having cold, wet feet while trying to concentrate on your next shot. It's also easy to get down on yourself if you hit some bad shots in the wet. Stick with it!

It's raining cats and dogs here so I feel for ya...Never played in those kind of conditions so I can't offer any better advice than what's already been given.
