WANTED - Haig Ultra eight iron...

My set of Haig Ultras has a slightly older eight iron which must have been shoved in when the original was lost some time long before I got my grubby hands on them. Would love to retire the stand-in and get a matching eight in there.

Firstly, what sort of vintage are they? Seems like there were many many versions and I need an education so I know what I am looking for on the iron-finder sites, and so on. Black dot between the Haig and the Ultra, gold signature beneath, with "contour sole" on the bottom between the number and the black plastic thru-bore...

Single scored line around the neck, black ferrule with thin-thick-thin silver bands at the top. No serial number, no number on the sole, doesn't say contour sole on the back of the club either. Keep getting excited seeing one on eBay and can't seem to find one exactly the same...

The don't look like the models from the 1960s or '70s, but look a lot like the fluid feels Grouville senior used to have, and I think those were newer. Where they still making Haigs like this any later?

Secondly, knowing we have some international standard hoarders around here, any chance anyone has an eight iron of this vintage lying around, cluttering up the place?! Cheeky, I know, but don't ask, don't get eh? Please ping me a message if you do and are willing to post to the UK, negotiate on price, let's talk turkey, etc.

I think this is it and it looks like they have a couple of 8 irons...More expensive than what you are looking for, but an option.

They look to be the 84-86 Haig Ultras (the diamond between Haig and Ultra apparently being an identifier).

As mentioned before my post, you can find single irons on Ironfinder, but they're not a particularly low price.
Clubfinder could be another resource, but again, price may be higher than you're looking for.

I did a quick surf through ebay, saw an 8 iron of a different Haig Ultra vintage, but not the "diamond" set. I admit I spent very little time looking, though.

That was it. Was looking for ones with the diamond logo and just not seeing them. Slightly different scoring on the neck, but otherwise going to be looking out for the mid-1980s model then.

OK Jonny,
As I am technologically-challenged and can't seem to add pics to PM, here's what we have:

Some bag chatter; while the sandblasted portion of the face shows wear, the grooves are in very good shape; The top, black ring on the neck is partially missing; the club has a 36.5 inch True Temper Dynamic R shaft; the dried and cracked Golf Pride Victory grip will need to be replaced; and contrary my description in the earlier PM, the Knurling pattern on the neck appears to match: circle between /////////////. Excuse the lighting and my aging webphone [cracked iphone] photos as we were having a thunderstorm here. (Resisted the temptation to climb on the roof wih a 1 iron, and test Ben Franklin's theory of electricity.) If you are still interested, we can discuss terms via PM.
