Pumpkin Ridge or Salish Cliffs

Anyone play these course lately? Just curious about the conditions this time of year.

All I know, pumpkin won't be ready till July. Course is horrible when there is a lot of rain, which we have had!! I've played in May/June and balls still plug in the fairway.

I played it Feb 27, it is in good shape visually but it is really wet, almost every ball we hit would plug in the fairway. Our group lost three balls that landed in the middle of the fairway. I had a good time but again it was pretty wet.

Don't bother with Pumpkin Ridge. Nice course but very soggy. Even in the early summer you'll plug balls sometimes.

 

I like Salish, but haven't never played it in the winter so I'm no help there.

Salish drains pretty good. It's kinda soft but the rain here has been intense.

 

I'm 11 miles from the course and get the same weather patterns at my house.

 

Also if you're coming toward Salish The Home Course in DuPont--just south of Chambers Bay--is also very playable this time of year with excellent drainage. And cheaper, too.

Well, nowhere is going to be good for the next few days, at least. Cold, heavy rain and high winds. Good day to sit in the hot tub...

 

Normally, Langdon and Stone Creek are the best draining public courses. Langdon's layout and facilities are better, IMO.
