There's a gang of us who all work in hospitality so because we all work weekends we formed a society that play on Wednesday.

We play from March to November and we've called it the Road to Christmas.

We're made up of bar staff, managers , bakers,cops generally anyone who has to work weekends.

We have a year long competition that counts your 10 best scores out of 36 plus 3 "majors" (at ultra tough courses) and we always finish up at an "away" course with dinner and a few beers.

I love it and live for wednesdays.

 

Plus we have an militant handicap Secretary and it makes it all fair.

Nice! I used to do something similar. Tuesday was our day. Made it a lot of fun and flew around the course since it was usually wide open. Never had enough guys to make a league though.

we have a great Wed day at our club. Lots of fun

 

2 pm shotgun. We get anywhere from 60-120 guys and it runs 22 weeks

we added team play to ours, 10 guys a team. Top 5 count every week. 15 weeks count. Last 4 weeks are the playoffs with double points

We lowered the individual winner prizing so more guys got prize table dips

Last year it went down to the wire. Our handicap range is quite extensive and our low guy went -9 in last 3 rounds(gross) to win the overall.

It's €100 to join for the year and the prize money will pay for a nice Christmas.
