Which is better The Hombre or Holiday golf club in Panama City Beach?

Good morning wrx, I'm on vacation with my wife and her parents and am looking to play either hombre or holiday and was wondering which one was better. Thanks in advance.

Chris, Stay away from Hombre.....

Just played Hombre today as a birthday gift from my kids. Don't waste your money ! The ugly 9 is closed until August/September, the bad 9 greens were redone last year and are in bad shape. A lot of bare spots and a lot of areas where they have just put big patches of sod down on the greens. The good 9 has always been terrible and remains that way. I cannot believe they charged my daughter $60 for me to play this dump. They want to continue to advertise that the bad and ugly nines used to hold the PGA Q School and it did about 5 to 6 years ago, but a high school event should not be held on the course now.

How was Holiday? I'm heading down that way in a couple of weeks. Was it in good shape?

It was in good shape the greens were firm and look like they had been punched around a month to a month and a half ago but have healed nicely. Overall the fairways were in good shape also. To me it was still overpriced though. Definitely not worth 70 but I guess it's a supply and demand type of thing cause from talking to the locals I played with it and windswept dunes are the best shape of public courses in the pcb area and the only ones in good shape. Hope this helps.

To follow up on the post that Chis made, Holiday's green were punched two weeks ago. By the time you get there they should be in excellent shape. I have usually found a better rate through GolfNow by going with a Hot Deal, but they usually only have one time at that rate around 12:00 to 1:00 pm.

I played Windswept Dunes this past Thursday and it was in the best condition of any course that I played during my recent trip. Depending on where you are staying, it might be a little drive and their rate is around $65.
