GPS Accuracy: Game Golf vs. Skygolf

I've been a SkyGolf guy for years but I'd really like to pick up a game tracker. From what reading I've done, the SkyGolf GT2 seems to be a bust right now and everyone loves Game Golf Live. So, the last little bit to put me over the edge would be accuracy.

 

Is Game Golf Live as accurate as SkyGolf? Does GGL use the phone's GPS?

I have started using both on the course. I have recently got some new irons and want to get data on the distance I hit them. Game Golf Live is not as accurate as the Skycaddie Touch. Game Golf Live has its own GPS receiver and you can pair it to your smartphone so it will send the data to the phone. I do not pair it with my iPhone as I use golf to get away from the phone and email but download the data to my Mac after the round. There is usually one or two shots that I have adjust the location before I sign the round. The Touch has better information, more accurate, and is much easier to read in sunlight than the phone. My club has green zones mapped on the Touch so I get the center of the zone instead of the center of the green. Some of the greens are large enough to be a two club difference between a front and back pin position. Also Game Golf is much easier to use and more comfortable to wear than the Gametracker.
