Nike SQ Tour Series vs?

Hello everyone, I am in need of some help. I carry a 3 handicap, I recently changed to the Nike SQ Tour series 9.5* with an NV X-Stiff shaft. One thing I noticed is I am more eratic with this driver and my misses are more pronounced.

I am coming from a Titliest 9.5* 905R driver with a Fujikara speeder X-Stiff Shaft.

That being said, I am wondering what I should go to? I tend to draw the ball naturally but can work it both ways. Can anyone help me recommending a shaft? I need help!! :D Your help is appreciated.

i have the same head and used to have the NV65S for it. i found the shaft to be inconsistent. it took a solid swing to properly load it but it would give out too easily at the same time.

 

diamana blue is a good match for that head, as is the aldila VS proto. i've also heard others like the V2 as well.

Wildwilly911 good questions. I have a mid to high ball flight, which is where I would like to keep it. My swing speed is 119 MPH with a smooth tempo. I hope this helps.

I have used a SQ tour recently and found the NV to play very whippy and loose in it. Remember, the 905r is a bore through, so the shafts will play alittle stiffer than a blindbore. Additionally, the shafts that shaft companies send to club companies tend to be alittle weaker, because people often like to think they are far better and stronger than they are. Thus that NV-X is probably closer to an NV-s and is likely playing 1 and a 1/2 flexes lighter than the speed X in a bore through.

 

Two shafts that I have had success with in Nike drivers are the Accuflex Evolution and the V2 75. My SS is 118mph very smooth, and currently I am playing a V2 75 stiff tipped 1" in a SQ tour. Great dispersion. I hated the NV stock, If you are willing to go lighter weight, the Evolution Lite X-flex is a smooth swingers shaft with great dispersion and is easily the longest shaft I have played in a SQ tour. I would recommend the 905R head over the Nike sq tour!

 

Anyway, for the shaft, you need some serious shaft with that speed. probably Aldilla Proto By You 70X will do the trick.
