Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce myself as I have just gotten back in to golf. This site has been very useful for all the little questions I have had have mostly been answered already. I figured it was time to become a member and start participating rather then lurking.

A little history about me. I am 30 years old and haven't even hit a club in over 5 years. I started playing on the high school golf team (basically a walk on team if you showed even a bit of talent) and played there for 2 years. I have never been very good and have always had a fairly high (85-95 handicap) but have always enjoyed the game. I respect this game and its traditions. To me it has always been more than a weekend beer drinking ritual, although, beer and golf are a good combination haha. I joined the military after high school and rarely got the chance to play. I got out of the military in 2010 and had even less money then when I was active duty, so I never played except when I worked as a cart boy at the local course in Prescott, Arizona. That only lasted for a few months as it was interfering with my college work.

No I live in Missouri and have a few dollars as well as free time to get back into it. I have recently bought a set of Miura 9003 straight necks (5-PW) for a steal and I am slowly building my set and can't wait to get out on the course for the first time in a long time. Greens fees seem to be a lot cheaper than when I use to play. the local course is on $13 during twilight, which suits my schedule well as I leave work at 5pm.

Anyway, just wanted to do the intro thing and say hello.
