Titleist 917D2 and 917D3 Drivers: In-hand photos

Club tests almost always prove irrelevant to me. The drivers that everyone rave about lenght come up short and the one that are supposedly short go long. It all depends on the swing.

For those who have been fit for the 917 and 915, how did the shaft selection you were fit to compare? I've gamed Titleist back to the 905 and always have ended up with a very similar shaft. I was fit to the 913 and 915 but am gaming an M2 right and despite it being long and forgiving, I kind of hate it... haha. I'm thinking about ordering the 917 to the specs I've been fit to in the past and know it's not the best idea, yet every time I get fit the results are so similar.

If you're asking about Driver rather than Fairways, I went from 915 D2 10.5 with Aldila Tour Green 75 Stiff, to 917 D2 10.5* with Fujikura Speeder 74 X flex, not sure what that tells either of us, but what I would say, is that I could easily have gone with the 917 D3 for looks, but the 917D2 felt better off the face for me, weirdly.
