Ping shaft selection help

I have been trying to decide which shaft to pick for my new G driver.

I do not like the Alta shaft.

I really like the ping tour 65 shaft.

I hit the regular and stiff shaft and kind of like the regular better.

The below numbers were an average over 10 good shots with the regular tour 65.

 

98mph avg

142 BS

13.6 LA

2340 total spin

244 yards carry

263 total distance

 

My question is will I be ok with a regular tour 65 shaft or do I need to get the stiff.

My #'s are very close to yours and I'm using the tour 65 in reg flex. My old ping driver had a prolaunch blue in stiff flex.

You should be fine in either. I went X as I'm 107 avg. I played stiff last year. Going up a flex helped my dispersion but cost me about 5+ yards. I'll take the Fairway over the extra yards.

KT whatever you got those numbers with is the shaft I'd go with. Those are really good numbers with your SS. Even a little more spin wouldn't hurt you any.

Those are good numbers. Wonder if you've tried the 10.5. Looks like you're perfect for that 10-11 loft. Good luck. I played the 10.5 G30LS and went to the 9* in the G LS because of the higher launching characteristics of the new G line. My launch and spin are very similar to yours just carry a little further with the 107SS avg. To be honest the G30LS at 10.5 and the new G at 9* perform pretty much identical for me. Just wanted the newer look I guess. I do like the head redesign appearance better than the 30 lineup though performance is pretty much the same.

Very much the same with me. I switched from a stiff to x two years ago with about a 105 average. My dispersion decreased heavily as the cost of a couple yards.
