Info on Plantation Bay CC and Venice area CC's

I am looking to retire and join a club. 2 places on my list are Plantation Bay CC and the Venice area. In Venice, I am considering Pelican Pointe and. plantation CC. I am looking for places that have more than 18 holes so as not to become too bored with the same track. Can anyone in the know give me some information on either location or other alternatives?

Have you looked at golfinvenice.com? They have a single membership for three courses.

Have you looked at golfinvenice.com? They have a single membership for three courses.

 

Thanks. I was planning on checking out the courses there as well, but I have not heard anything about them. Good or bad.

Courses are OK. As we're going into the off-season, most of the local clubs (Golfinvenice.com, Jacaranda West, Venetian, Mission Valley, etc) have summer memberships in the sub $1k range that last until Oct.

 

I'd recommend checking those out, as you can get a bunch of play for little $$$ and see what course you like.

I'm a member at Jacaranda West. They have 18 holes, but they have reciprocal at 2 other local courses.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. I just booked a trip for the end of the month. Going to play both courses at Plantation Bay in Ormond Beach. Then we are going to do a double at world woods. Then we are going to Pelican Pointe and Plantation in Venice. Then a double at Laurel Oaks. Finishing up on Streamsong red.

Coincidentally, I drove by Plantation Bay today and just got done googling it. Live in Jax and love golf field trips. PB looks private, any tips for getting a tee time there?

Plantation bay is private. I spoke to the membership director, and told her I am looking to relocate and possibly join, which I am. She is letting a buddy and myself play both courses for the guest fee. Check out Halifax Plantation. I believe it is semi private. I have yet to play there but I heard good things about the course.
