How about gamesmanship?.......I play with a bunch of sharks trolling in the water trying to piss you off, or rattle you...As Phil said this week, there are several PGA Tour guys that are very loose with marking their ball......It's everywhere, believe me......

I think in cases of placement or determining nearest point of relief there is some room for error. In Anna's case and I believe in Lexi's case they had no idea and they also gained absolutely no advantage so definitely isn't cheating for me. Unavoidable mistake that had no intentand no advantage should equal no penalty.

 

If Lexi gained no advantage, then what was she doing? She literally picked the ball an inch up off the ground and moved it over.

Lmao what advantage did she gain? She wasn't going to the miss that putt and the only reason she marked it was to line up the ball. I do the same thing before every putt. What she did was an honest mistake, when it's not an honest mistake is when players move the ball to avoid a ball mark or drop it closer to the hole.
