Top 3 Golf Courses in-and-around Dublin, Ireland?

I am planning to be in Dublin, Ireland, in August of 2018 for the World Meeting of Families (specifically August 22-26) and thought I'd stay a few extra days to play some golf. I'm a big fan of Irish links golf, but could be persuaded to consider other courses while I'm in the area. So, what are your top 3 recommendations for golf courses in-and-around Dublin, Ireland?

Portmarnock is the most obvious choice...close, but $$$. I've heard good things about The Island - but I didn't play it...same with County Louth (Baltray)

 

Also, if its a "once in a lifetime" deal...might consider a 1 day rental and drive up to Royal County Down? That's what I did...and thought it was well worth it - even though total cost ended up ~$300+ for the round (green fee + shared caddie)

 

In terms of distance - driving north from Dublin - The Island is closest, then Baltray, then RCD. Took us ~2:20 to get to RCD out of downtown Dublin.

When I was there, I played Portmarnock, European Club (30 mins from Dublin) and did the drive up to RCD. 2 and a bit hrs each way if I remember correctly.....

 

I had a wedding at the K Club and played there. Nice but not too memorable compared to the other 3.
