Help finding a putter manufacturer

Patented, USGA Conformed .. whats next?

I don't know if I am allowed to post this, I apologize if I am wrong in doing so, but I need some help:

A good friend invented a putter, got a patent on it, and also got it conformed by the USGA. He had asked me for help in finding a manufacturer to make this putter. I do not know where to start or how to go about this. Can someone please give me some information as to what I should do or where to start? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

What's the putter made out of? Does it have an insert? Does it need to be cast, forged or milled? Does the hozel need to welded, braised, milled, or other? How many does your friend expect to manufacture? Does he or she have cad drawings already done or does that need to be done? etc...

 

I have a friend who has a full service metal fabrication company with outlets in Chicago, Mexico, and India and would be very willing to manufacture putters (we've talked about it) but you have to have pretty deep pockets to do an initial run this way. Probably 1000 pieces. Your friend might be better suited to talk to either the Byron guys or Slighter to do a limited run to begin with and then seek out manufacturing.
