PING G5i PIPER switch to Redwood Piper

MAKING THE SWITCH

I currently am using the G5i PIPER which I love. And today have noticed a redwood piper available. I have automatically assumed the milled redwood will be in my bags tomorrow...... Any input on why I may be right or wrong in my decision to switch. I simply think that I will benifeit from the heavier wieghted milled putter due the fact I have been on line, but have been coming up a little short.

I have never owned a milled putter and am only assuming it is better.

Personally I really hate the inserts in the G5 line, with the result of having no feel with them i.e some balls go way past the hole, and some stops way before the hole. I do like the feeling you get from the Redwood though. That plus the heavier head of the Redwood are going to shave off some strokes from your score, I hope!

With the G5i, I have found a putter that I have great success in finding and hitting my line. But the feel is not there and my putts seem to come up typically short. The extra wieght on the Redwood I think will help, but my biggest question is whether the milled putter will have more feel with the same accuracy.
