Lesson/Instructor Recommendations

I'm down in South Florida Plantation/Davie area and was wondering of anyone had any recommendations they could pass along? Right now I'm struggling finding someone I'm comfortable with and most friends and people I work with don't play golf so I don't want to just pick a name out of a hat.

 

Also, I looked at the Jim McLean website for Doral and say that rates range from $120 to over $159 an hour. That seems rather high to me but wondering if that the norm or just a higher rate for the name?

 

Any help or feedback would greatly be appreciated.

Finding good golf insturction in South Florida can be difficult. In most cases, you're going to pay around $100 - $150/hr for someone that is competent. Jim McLean instructors probably get a premium for the name. Here's some suggestions for you to look into further and/or try out. I've taken lessons from all at one point or another and might be what you're looking for. Adam Bazalgette is in Naples, but probably still worth the drive. My most recent lessons were with him. He's got a nice set up at an exclusive private course. Uses flightscope and video and has a lot of experience teaching. If you want to stay more local, I'd start looking at Rick Heard first.
