The Top Twelve Korean Golfers In The World Today- a tribute

If a team of the twelve highest-ranked Korean-born players was assembled today, here's what it would look like:

-So Yeon Ryu, world number one, 2x major champion, 5x LPGA winner

-Sung Hyun Park, world #4, reigning USWO and probable 2017 LPGA Rookie of the year

-In Gee Chun, top ten ranked, 2x major champion, 2016 ROY (and very beautiful lady)

-In Kyung "Income" Kim, top ten ranked, major champion, 7x winner and leading tournament winner of 2017

-In Bee, nuff said

-Amy Yang, 3x winner

-Sei Young Kim, 6x winner (in less than three seasons time), 2015 ROY

-Mi Jung "MJ" Hur, 2x winner

-Ha Na Jang, 4x winner, in only 1.5 seasons

-Mirim Lee, 3x winner, won twice as a rookie taking down peak-level In Bee and Stacy Lewis

-Hye Jin Choi is the #2 (yeah right) ranked amateur in the world, who just finished runner-up at the USWO. 17 years old.

-Ha Neul Kim is a KLPGA/JLPGA player who, trust me, you want to watch. World ranking is 28th! You know what that means right? If she was American, she'd be the #6 player on the team! Ahead of Michelle. If she was European she'd be #4. LOL How awesome is that? Plus, let's get real here, Ha Neul Kim is one gorgeous woman!

This is not to speculate on what this (super)team would, or would not do to an American team in a head to head cup match. Bah, I don't have time for that. This is merely a tribute to this fantasy team, their impressive credentials and no doubt, the awesome skills that would be on display. As a spectator I would be in golf nerd heaven watching any event that such a team played in. Beautiful swings and deadeye putting all around. I think it would be both fun and instructive to watch.

There was an event I watched Korea vs japan and actually was boring as hell because they dominated.

I think the LPGA should take a look at some kind of tri-match - US-Eur-Asia...it would be new/fresh & different from the men.

I know they are pushing the Int'l Crown to involve the Asian region - but that is so different than a Solheim/Ryder Cup feel.

Not sure how it could work, but would love to see it - maybe 8 person teams, and figure out the format?

It is such a magical team isn't it?! I did this same analysis just before the Solheim. If you look further down, look at the potential captain's picks! Mi Hyang Lee springs to mind. Love her game, but struggle to find a place for her!

Magical is a good word. I look back at the list and it's not just talent, there are some real charming ladies on it. And far from being cookie-cutter, every one listed brings a unique identity and style. Also it would be interesting to see them play as a national team, I have no doubt they would get fired up. And with all the different styles of golf, the pairings would be so fascinating. And you are right, there would be such a wealth of talent from which to pick the wildcards.

I know. A major champion in her prime (Hyoo Joo Kim) doesn't even make the team. Not to be too snarky, but I wouldn't begrudge Paula Creamer fist and crowd pumping after beating up on this team.

if you include korean born or descent players like Lydia Ko and others i can't remember right now the team will probably be as unbeatable as the korean women's archery team who have won every olympics since 1988..

come to think of it even without such players that team would be just as formidable..
