Phoenix area fitting

Hey guys,

 

I'm thinking about going in for a driver fitting next week. The gist I've gotten is you can't go wrong with Cool Clubs, but I'm curious if anyone here has done one at "The Club Fix" at the Raven. Looks like they're around half the cost, curious how they stack up.

 

Any other places I should consider? I would really prefer to do an outside fitting. I'm almost ashamed to admit at this point, but I've never been on a launch monitor. I think it might be time.

Go with cool clubs. They go outside at grayhawk in a month or 2

I have been to Mark at Center Cut Custom Golf a couple of times....once early this year for a driver and again a couple weeks ago for irons....I highly recommend seeing him over the "big box" fitters.....he works with you to match up feel and performance, has an incredible knowledge of the manufacturers and characteristics of the clubs/shafts and works with you on pricing. The only drawback is that he is in east Mesa at Augusta Ranch but he is awesome and worth the drive.

I was fitted at HotStix and they did on incredible job. Really know their stuff. You are hitting on a full range so you can see your entire ball flight. They have a ton of club head and shaft options and they can pair any shaft with any club head. Once you order, they then build the clubs and check the shaft frequency and each club's swing weight to ensure it's correct. They really do go all out.

 

It is a more expensive route to go, but, they certainly know their stuff and will build you a great set.

 

My buddy got fitted at CoolClubs and they do virtually the same thing. He also had really positive things to say about them. His only knock was he was hitting into a net. Cost was pretty similar to HotStix.

I've been to hotstix up in fountain hills and really enjoyed the experience. Ping is doing outside fitting at Kierland for free now so it may be worth starting there and seeing how that goes before you drop some dough.

Been a while but while I was having some club repair work done I eavesdropped on a putter fitting at cool clubs and was pretty impressed with the data and details they had at their disposal
