Need some help on my downswing

I'm currently a 15 handicap(which is excellent for me since i started not too long ago) and attribute most of of that to a lot of short game practice since i've been extremely inconsistent with my full swing. When my swing is on i can easily go low 80's with a solid short game but thats my problem. My swing is rarely "on" and i'm fighting in most of the time. My biggest problems lately have been hitting behind the ball and blocking or pushing shots straight to the right which i think are correlated. I've had a pro tell me that I'm dipping my right shoulder on the downswing and plus my swing path is very inside out. While i don't take many lessons i can tell when I'm dipping my shoulder because on my finish position it feels like i'm looking sideways at the target instead of straight. I've been trying to work on this for the past couple weeks but to no avail. I'd greatly appreciate any tips or drills in order to get my club more on plane on the downswing or less inside out, and I REALLY NEED TO STOP MY RIGHT SHOULDER FROM DIPPING. Any help would great. The dipping of the right shoulder may be related to a couple of possible backswing faults:

 

1. BS is too steep requiring you to drop your hands in transition (ala Furyk) but you overdo it. The steep BS may well be the result of standing too close to the ball (Furyk's swing fault)

2. Arms overswinging and your BS shoulder turn (characterized by a severe across the line condition at the top). This also requires you to start the downswing with the arms, but to prevent an over the top slicers move you compensate by dipping the right side to stay inside out.

 

If your BS plane is good (hands below the Hogan pane of glass) and you're not standing too close to the ball (your hands should be below your chin at address), then you may also have a lot of lateral slide of your hips in transition which is changing your axis tilt (face on spine angle). You can correct this dipping problem by practicing swinging out (like a baseball swing) to start the downswing. And i mean swing out away from your body as far as you can in transition. This is a drill designed to break you of pulling the club down in transition. You can successfully hit balls this way (rather well I might add, especially with driver). You will get the feeling that you are going to swing right over the top of the ball but with just a few practice swings can actually get this down pretty quickly. Another good drill is the "pump drill." There have been a few post on that before, search it on this site, it will take you to a couple of youtube videos that will explain.

Thanks for the feedback, i'd like to try these drills but i'm a little confused on the baseball type swing. I don't want to practice a drill the wrong way. Also what is the the pump drill? I do the pump drill but for me my hands come inside when when i do it.
