Favorite YouTube Golf Channels?

I’m looking for golf channels that just show playing - as opposed to club/equipment reviews (tons of them) or instruction (those can be dangerous). Not to plug one, but others like Golfholics for example. It’s just nice to be able to watch folks playing while my golf is in hibernation up north (sigh). And I already watch PGA and various brand channels (e.g. Callaway, Titleist, Mizuno, etc.).

Yes, I watch both Rick, Peter and Mark Crossfield too - Mark seems just a little more frank with his views. Largely equipment reviews, but you're right some of their videos are other than reviews.

I enjoy the Corssfield course vlogs most (more humor and less stiff serious golf pro vibes) but he has a lot of other vids that aren't playing so you have to dig a bit to find the good ones.

What’s refreshing to me is that Mark sometimes subtly pushes back on marketing hype. And he subtly promotes the idea that improving your swing will do much more to improve your scoring than ANY equipment change. As others have noted, if every golf marketing pitch had merit we’d all be scratch players driving 350 yds, making every putt within 6-8 ft, and puring irons more often than not.

I haven't checked out Shiels in a while, Crossfield has gotten way more entertaining.... definitely checking his stuff out more lately. Really liking Michael Newton's stuff, too. Great swing, and demos stuff that others really haven't it seems... Ali Taylor I watch but more cause I think I could beat him. LOL

I’ve watched a lot from the first four and Crossfield, Teeuplo, Ali Taylor. And the more I watch Golfholics the more I enjoy it. I’ll have to try out the last two, thanks.

 

Again, I was hoping for leads other than club/equipment reviews or pure instruction videos - those have been very easy to find. Just people playing golf with some interesting narrative on play, courses, etc. - like Golfholics.

Andrew is a playing pro that shows life on tour, but has started showing more on course work in his off season. Even collaborated with Golfholics earlier this month. A nice change of pace in the YouTube golf space...

I had a case of the shanks last year and turned to YouTube for help. Me and My Golf offered the easiest and best advice / drills among numerous videos. No crazy training aids, very simple advice.

I don't know how anyone can take Peter Finch seriously after this video on Phil Mickelson's hinge and hold:

At 30 seconds, he says "hold" refers to holding the wrist angle as you lengthen your backswing. That is simply wrong. Phil is talking about holding your wrist angle through impact. Of course, Phil doesn't actually do that and he's actually talking about not flipping your wrists.

 

At 1 min 45 sec, Peter says he'll hit a 60 yard shot with "entirely different techniques".

 

At 2 min 30 sec, he attempts the first technique, a hinge and hold, but he actually flips at it.

 

At 3 min 20 sec, he attempts the second technique, saying he'll take his wrists out of the shot with his chest more over the ball, but HIS ADDRESS POSITIONS ARE IDENTICAL and IT'S THE EXACT SAME SHOT just with a slightly shorter backswing.

 

Does anyone else see this or am I going crazy??
