Golf in Vegas

Anyone Free?

Hey guys...my pops and I will be in Vegas 29th of this month thru Dec. 2nd...if anyone will be in the area or lives in the area, I would love to play a round or two with you...we are both single digit handicappers so we wouldn't slow u down :tongue:
I was thinking about playing the wolf at Pauite but if anyone has any other suggestions or connections to another course, I am willing to listen! I have played with other members from another golf forum site and it was a lot of fun. Plus we can try out each other's clubs too. Hope to hear back from you soon...cheers!

Pitchmaster, Paiute is a great choice to play, great courses there.

There are several really nice courses in LV.

U can check with your hotel to see about courses they are recommending as well, do u have a budget, or is it a free for all?

TPC @ The Canyons is Daily Fee and very nice.

You can always pay the $500 and play either ShadowCreek or Cascata, both top 25 in the world. Good luck with your search.

i am already booked for 2 at the Wolf @ Pauite...thurs., dec. 1st @ 11:06 a.m. if anyone else wants to join in...may try to sneak in another round somewhere else, but most likely will play just once since a short trip and other things to do...but u never know :tongue:

Hey Pitch,

I'll see if I can change my schedule around as Thursday is normally a work day....but for golf I'll see if I can change things! Tues & Weds are my normal golf days.

Pauite courses are wonderful BUT windy.....always windy, and I mean w.i.n.d.y. If you don’t mind a breeze, you love it. It can be deadcalm in town and blowing like hell up there...totally luck of the draw.

TPC Canyon's is definitely one of my favorites, but very expensive @ $250ish a round for "out of towners", it has one of the most expensive local rates as well :tongue:.

Let me know if you need opinions on where to play.

I would recommend the Falls and Reflection Bay. I've played the wolf as well. It is an excellent tract. Rio Secco is overrated. There are holes I hit 400 yard drives because of the severity of the slope and how dry the fairways are. I talked to the head pro after a round and he said if they were ever to have a pro event there the pros would shoot very low scores there because of the reasons I mentioned.

Sorry I can not join you but I am in South Africa right now and was planning to go to Vegas in Feb or so. The comments made for interesting reading because I have never played there although I have been there a few times. Where my wife wanted to stay was at the new Wynns. When I looked them up on the net I noticed they had a course right outside the hotel on the strip, but I could not find a price. So when I called I found out that you had to stay at the hotel and it was $500 a round.

I found out quick that I would be in a stay no play hotel. I do not play that well and it is sure enough out of my league. It is sounding like per your conversations it is all a little on the expensive side out there. I may have to leave my sticks at the house.

hey guys thanks for all your replies...yes wolf is expensive but i had a cert. good for two for only $140 which includes cart/green fees for both of us for 18 holes....not bad huh...but i would love for u to join us, esp. if u have a local discount or connection...let me know and i will call and update it to a threesome...or if u want to bring a friend along as well that would be fine too...yes i know it is windy as i asked them at the course what it will be like and they said WINDY! I was thinking about playing from the tips which is over 7.600 but now i am not so sure...but i have played the Snow course there couple yrs back which was not too challenging....the Wolf I hear is a beast...let me know then!
