With work I visit Arkansas just about monthly now so I'm trying to take my clubs for the week and play in the late afternoons. Main cities I visit are fort smith, little rock, fayeteville, batesville, and Jonesboro.

I am a member at a pretty nice club so I would think my pro could get me on at some courses... Obviously not alotian.

What are some good tracks that are public or some private courses that you wouldn't think I would have much trouble getting on?

Hardscrabble, Pleasant Valley and CCLR.

I'm in Jonesboro, Sage Meadows is a good public track here usually very crowded in afternoons. Ridgepointe is good but our bentgrass greens are struggling in this heat

Batesville has a good public course Eagle Mountain, has a few weird holes though.

Pleasant Valley, Chenal and CC of LR in Little Rock are all very nice. Maumelle CC just outside of LR is a very good course but not as pristine as the others mentioned. Maumelle is 7500+ yards from the tips. In NW AR The Blessings is a very nice, tough course in Fayetteville. Hardscrabble in Ft. Smith is a good track. Texarkana CC if you ever get down to Texarkana. Not that far from NW AR is Mt. Home you will find a really nice course called Big Creek. In the eastern part of the state, not terribly far from Jonesboro, you will find The Ridges at Village Creek. Very nice and scenic. And last, but certainly not least, in south AR you will find Mystic Creek in El Dorado. If you can get down there it is a great track!

Best public course in Arkansas imo is Mystic Creek in El Dorado followed closely by the Ridges at Villge Creek in Wynn.

 

Mystic clubhouse right now is pretty much nonexistent but about to start being built if it hasn’t already. It’s a beautiful course that hosts a Symetra Tour event.

 

Ridges is a beautiful course as well with a nice club house.

 

Both are very tough. Probably top 3-4 hardest in the state behind the Blessings.
