ping tour 75 shaft similar in Cobra F9

So I got fitted with a ping tour 75 shaft x stiff.

 

Now Im looking at ordering a Cobra F9 online, what shaft is similar ?

You can pick a Ping Tour 75 x up for under $80 on ebay and have a F9 tip installed. Im pretty sure UST is making the Ping Tour shaft. You could probably get the same shaft minus the Ping name pretty easily!!!!

If that is the shaft that fit you best...I would stick with it. Get it custom made with the Cobra adapter.

I was fit for what I have in my F8+....later went to see my numbers vs an F9 with different offered shafts. I tried a few shafts that were number wise so close to my original shaft, but none performed as well for me. Hard to pick the optimal match on paper as so much depends on the shaft profile and how you load/swing it.

Maybe buy a new F9 with a close enough shaft (as they don't just sell the heads)...but also get a Ping Tour 75x made for the head as well. Then you can try a head to head evaluation and even sell the stock shaft that you got with the F9 to get back a bit of the cost.

Curious as to why you did not try getting fit with the F9 trying all of the stock offerings? I would think that you would get pretty darn close to optimized, somehow, vs going 'off the board'.

Not possible to get fitted in Extra Stiff Cobra in Iceland. I'm traveling to the states and since there are backorder and waiting list for Cobra F9 I was wondering about ordering online to be sure it arrived when I'm still there.

 

Maybe I will risk getting fitted in the states and hope they can deliver in two weeks time while I'm there.

Of the stock , no up charge, stock shaft offerings , for the Cobra F9 driver , on paper it

looks like the PX HZRDUSl Yellow in 7X , would be similar to the Ping Tour 7X.....

 

Both are slightly counterbalanced , and share the mid / low launch profile.....
