All I can say about the irons is: BUTTER!! They are so smooth it's not funny. They are solid like a muscle back, but have the forgiveness of a cavity back, if that makes any sense. With all the mass in the back like a MB (see pic attached) it lowers the flight like a MB. They are the best of both worlds if you ask me. I just wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of my first set. It was stupid but I'm back to my senses now. Hope this helped!!

They are underrated . I have these with P X5.5 satin version .I did not feel any, meaning any difference on pured shots with 4 and 5 iron ,compared with mizuno's 33 and 67 . Way easier to hit. Just pure land of lakes. On the other hand the trajectory you desire in MP 33 is there with the CB's .

I will continue with combo for now . How are the short irons 7, 8, 9 , PW ? The other site has a thread showing these in shiny black as rare version prob worth few thousand . I am itching to buy a back up set, getting harder to find .

Is there a big difference in the tour or retail version ?

Well, the short irons are money as well. I find that I can spin them just as a wedge. But that's where your tour ones come in. They are satin which are a little softer and they normally have the grooves milled in the faces like the Y cutters or Spinmilled Wedges. They will launch a little higher because of that, but the spin will help them stick and you can reach harder pins b/c of launch angle being higher and approaching them w/ spin. I love them. Plain and simple.

No, it hasn't ended just yet. I really have come to a point where I actually launch a club almost too low. It has zero spin so it's not affected, but it's just not my cup of tea right now. I have a lead for a Ft-5 w/ a Diamana...keep your eyes open...it may happen!

Now considering an FT-5?... Sounds too familiar... I went r7 --> FT-5--> r7... As a fellow club ho, I feel your pain lol

Yeh man...That FT-5 is SO hot off the face. I have to have that feeling back. The SQ was great and will make the new owner very happy! I can't wait to swing again when I get cleared from the doc!

I went to the centershaft after many rounds of numerous 3 putts and being PISSED all the time. I switched the stroke to left-hand-low and am not looking back. The stroke is so much smoother! I'll get some pics up soon!!

William: I really think this one will stay for a while. I hit every fairway and every green the other day and didn't use my driver so the irons, wedges (until the TVD's), and hybrid are staying. Now that I have my Cobra back, the three wood will be anchored. BUT, I did just make a purchase on Ebay last night for a second driver....got a great deal. Wasn't looking to purchase, but you can't be a 7.5* tour D2 w/ Blueboard for $250, can you? I don't think you can...So, now I'll have the FT-5 and the D2. What's a man to do?

Thanks Scotty! I need to get the driver situation fixed. Already been through a D2 and it's just not working. I'm anxiously awaiting Sumo Saturday to get a square and this problem will be fixed! If I can get in the fairways, I may give some people some hell out there!
