Dunhill Links Trip 2019

Hi All

I’m trying to organise a group trip from London for the links championship and I am struggling to find out all the info I need so I am hoping there could be someone on here to help!

We are looking at staying at either an apartment in the centre of town or St. Andrews holiday park which is further out.

I’m hoping to not have to hire a car-do you know if there will be shuttle buses between the cars at all?

Also timings of the events-are they all day? And do you just get to see the players tee’ing off?

Also am I best booking for Thursday -Sunday so we see the events every day?

Never been, but been to the Open dozens of times so for what it’s worth:

 

Shuttle buses..maybe. Surely they can tell you that when you book a ticket?

You walk round every course can see any group on any hole you want. Crowds will be a lot less than the Open.

Go every day? I used to, I wouldn’t bother for a normal tour event personally. One or two days is really enough and gives you the chance to play a bit and see the area.

Get your accoms booked as a priority it’s not a big place and I think it’s in university term time so less options?

I’m actually going to the Scottish Open at Renaissance and there is no discount for booking a ticket early so I’m not doing. Don’t commit money you don’t have to, weather could be anything.

There is no charge to get in for the first three days which are the days when all three courses are being used. I think there has been a shuttle bus to Kingsbarns and Carnoustie in the past but you’d need to check for this year. There is a charge to get into the Old Course for the final round on Sunday.

Should be good access to all three courses to spectate.
