Great article. Got me swaying back to Mizuno from Titleist for my next purchase. They're just so expensive in Australia-will have to do some more searching.

Fish thanks for the great read! I didn't know a lot of the information found on that link. I know one thing though is that Mizuno's are the best feeling irons I've played in ages. Now after that article, I know why. :tongue:

I was also reading in another article that is not on their internet site that the new draino putter is from the atlanta r and d team... I wonder why they released it to the european market first???? anyone out there have any idea why they tried that marketing strategy...

They also said that the have opened a 2nd and third fitting area similar to the one they have at the titleist performance institute but sole for club fitting... it appears as if they are not their to instruct or give lessons just for club fitting... they say they are back up with appts for two weeks.....

I believe their R&D is at the Country Club of the South in Atlanta, GA. When i went down there we were suppose to go out there and get fitted and everything, but they have a celebrity tourney there so we just went to another course to get it done. I was surprised to know that the US is doing the major R&D now instead of the Japanese. I played golf with the vp and the pres of the golf division and they were very proud of that because that is a major change for such a traditional society. I will be forever a Mizuno fan because of my experience down there. The corporate guys there are truely awesome and i really think the clubs are superior to everyone else. When a guy comes in at starts looking at Titleist clubs i always tell them that if I was going to buy a forged set of clubs, Mizuno would be my choice. Don't let the # of guys on tour fool you, they are getting paid a lot to play them. And a bet a lot of them were playing Mizuno irons before Titleist got a hold of them.

Oh and also the Blue tour velvet cord grips are awesome too

yeah mizuno does make a superior product to titleists now in terms of irons, too bad they can't make woods for shi*t though

Actually I thougth the MP001 460 was a pretty darn good driver with the right shaft combination. I was going in between that and my Tourstage for the last month and a half testing it. Although my Tourstage won out in the end, the MP001 gave it a good run for the money. :tongue:

Thanks for the link! I didn't think anything could supplant my beloved J33 combos :tongue: , but the MP-32s have made me a believer. 8 rounds in and these have bested the Bridgestones in nearly every way. :help: I am by no means a good ballstriker, but these have, without question, improved my ability to make clean contact with the ball. Even my mishits show only slight losses in distance. Their new offerings are worth a peek as well. ;)
