Boomerang Golf

I was just looking for some additional comments/reviews on this product before I add it to my xmas list. Basically, was wondering if it was as good as advertised.

It's better than advertised. It won't help you with your putting in terms of teaching you mechanics. It helps your putting by testing how good your mechanics are. You have to hit solid, straight putts and you have to have excellent distance control to excel at this. It's a lot of fun and addicting.

Well worth the price.

i just picked one up a couple weeks ago. although i haven't been able to test my stroke out on the course since i've started practicing with it, i find it an excellent training aid for grooving a consistent stroke and making sure you're hitting the sweet spot and putting a quality end-over-end roll on the ball. anything less than perfect (speed and line) and you can't keep the ball in the cup or knock one out. it's so much harder than i imagined before trying it.

the challenge is so addictive i almost see it as a microcosm of the game as a whole...the futile struggle for perfection. the fact that you can get the balls back at your feet only perpetuates that struggle.

I know this thing is hard... but do any of you have the least bit of that "ripped off feeling" for what you paid for a strip of felt and a cheap plastic ramp?

edit: Or, as golfers, are we just conditioned to spend fifty bucks on something that looks as though it should cost $12.95 at the local toy store? (c;

i didn't pay any where near $50 for mine so to answer your question about feeling ripped off, no.

Paid $25 for mine on Ebay, worth every penny. Very addictive and very effective.

but...The Boomerang is the REAL DEAL! Talk about groove the putting stroke and gain confidence in distance control! I hate being locked up at home.....but my hallway has now been transformed into a putting studio. That piece of felt is really really freaking cool. I took some tape and marked off 4" increments along the edge.



The Boomerang coupled with "Putting Out of Your Mind" has changed my entire outlook on the flat stick.


I like it so much....I'd wear a freaking Boomerang cap. In white of course.
