As an update, can anyone comment on the durability of the finish for the Black Smoke wedges? I was looking at the Mizuno T22 but really wanted the copper in those and I have heard some not-so-great comments on the copper finish wearing off. I am not crazy about chrome finish, and happen to love Bettinardi, so I am now looking at the HLX 3.0 in Black Smoke.

I have a black bettinardi wedge pinned in the classifieds. If you look at the photos, you can see that the black finish holds up well. The finish held up much better than my black Vokeys.

Getting ready to order at least a couple of these wedges. Thinking of doing a 56/14 RJ bent to 55/13 and a 60/8 C as is. Anyone not getting along with their particular grind, and if so, why?

I have the exact setup, even the 56 bent to 55 and love them, no issues.

Just wondering if you ever pulled the trigger on this and if so, how have the wedges been over the past year? I'm considering the same setup of the newer version. Thanks.

I actually ended up going with the wedges in my sig. Nothing wrong with the Betti heads and I did like them, but, at the time, there was only one shaft choice, which I didn’t care for. I absolutely love my Zips. Never had more sandies since getting them, and a lesson, of course.
