Do Hoofer and Hoofer 14 Have Full Length Dividers?

I hate starting a new thread just for this, but I've seen a lot of conflicting info. Reviews on YouTube and other internet info seems to say that all of the new Hoofer models have full length dividers. I've read through a bunch of old threads here, and have found a handful of mentions that they do not. So... what is it? Looking at both the 5 way and 14 way model. Also, when answering, it is worth noting which year bag you have experience with...

My 2019 Hoofer 14 does NOT have full length dividers and it is the bane of my existence. I have midsize grips and the tangle is shocking. So bad that I went to a local plastics store and bought 10 plastic tubes that I cut to length. It was a hell of a project to be honest.

 

Other than that, it's an excellent bag. But i'll be keeping an eye out for an alternative.

Did you find the tubes bound to the grips? I have a 4-way top on my bag and resorted to using tubes to keep my mid grips from snarling up in the bottom, but the grips are only marginally smaller than the tube so you often have to grab the tube and the club at the same time or it will come out of the bag.

 

Considering going to a 14-way top with full length dividers because it's annoying.

Sort of... As in your case, my midsize grips are only slightly smaller than the plastic tub itself. I used plastic lamp guards because they are light, flexible and durable and cut them to length.

 

In order to stop the tubes from coming out with the clubs, I used epoxy to glue all 10 tubes together near the base. Now, they are essentially a single unit.

 

The bigger challenge is the fact that the Hoofer has a tilting base. Therefore, I had to ensure the tubes for the lower sections are shorter than the tubes for the upper sections. That way, when the legs are out and the base is tilted, the floor does not push all of the tubes up.

 

In this picture, the clothespins are temporarily holding the tubes together while the epoxy bonds. The top row is always touching the base. Notice how the second and third rows are progressively shorter and only touch the base when the legs are out.

 

It was a pain in the butt but has eliminated tangle for my irons. I did not use tubes for my putter or graphite shafted clubs.
