Bennington Quiet Organizer 9 Lite Cart Golf Bag Review

The OCD in me has been satisfied, albeit I do have a few complaints...

 

Pros:

• The organization is simply superb.  For me, the knowing where a club is going to be is more important than the silence.  The bag has eliminated any stress on the course caused by hunting for a club or not seeing it through the clutter.
• Club chatter is fully eliminated.
• The zippers on the waterproof pockets are legit sealed and the water can't get in from the top of the seam.
• The glove holder is nice and sturdy plastic; great for my Frogger towel.
• I love the external putter scabbard; especially since I play a short putter.  I never had one before and was sold in a few holes.
• The versatility of the center section is great.
• The clamp type bag holder on my CaddyTek push cart works great with the cart strap path tunnels on either side of the bag.  No need for a strap, though I have a removable one on my cart.  It requires a bit of finesse to lower the bag onto both clamps, but then it is smooth sailing with no bag twisting.

 

Cons:

• The waterproof pockets are deep, so getting items out of there can be tough.  Someone with large hands would not be able to get things out without pushing the pocket liner up from the underside.
• It is tall.  I am only 5'"7".  It is perfect for a push cart; better actually, but on a riding cart, it stinks.  So much so, that I will change bags when I ride.
• I have tried two riding carts and both had straps that were too low to go through the cart strap path.  I had to cover pockets up with the strap.  Another reason to switch bags when riding.

 

My biggest complaint is that I have no real place for my laser rangefinder.  The upper pocket can be used for this, but there is no side netting to the pocket to keep it secure. I bought my rangefinder used so I don't have the holder that I could attach to the bag.  I have to use my push cart netting pocket when walking, a cup holder when riding, or use the pocket zippers for every shot.  You can see from the photos below how my Exotics bag has the side netting to the pocket.

 

Notes:

• I can easily fit 3 drinks in each the bag and my cart, for a six-pack.  That is with reusable ice sheets, which keep the drinks cold for my entire round and there is no dripping water.
• The bag's drink pocket is insulated a bit and drip proof, though it does take away room from the lower pocket when filled.
• The reusable ice cubes I use (that work fantastic) are https://flexifreeze.com/ also available on Amazon.
• The Sumi-G headcover is perfect for avoiding the mess of lower sock material in the center section, as are the Stealth hybrid headcovers.
• I think the lower slots could be molded better for the angle of wedges, but this is a very minor flaw.

 

All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, even if I won't be taking it for rounds when I ride.

Yes....Bennington bags are very tall and awkward on riding carts!  On my 3rd.

 

Nooo......Iost about 20 counted posts in the redone version!
