Sun Mountian C130 and C130 stand bag - bent putter

Anyone else have an issue, where the cart strap bends/bent your putter shaft?  I really want a stand bag, great for range, but want club orientation to be like cart bag.  Anyone make one?  Putter well not required...

Nope, never had that problem with any bag, including my Titleist Players 5 Stand Bag.  I keep my SC putter in the same well with driver and 4wd (top well) which is located closed to where the cart strap goes though the handle when the bag is in the cart well. 

 

Those Sun Mountain C130 bags are heavy duty, my buddy uses one.  Its surprising that the strap well somehow bent your putter shaft.

Just looked at the current C130 - they added velcro in the description to strap it to the cart, facing cart side.  "The Smart Strap System attaches the bag to a riding cart with two Velcro® straps which stop the bag from twisting on the cart and prevent the riding cart’s straps from interfering with pocket usage."  You'd think that is what the strap pass through is for, but I found it actually digs more into where the putter goes when you use them.

 

I'm fixing now, by turning the bag sideways.  Actually better view of the clubs that way so may keep it that way.

 

I was surprised too, looking for something else now.

I have used C130s for past decade, I have like 6 of them of various models including current year.....never, ever have seen anything bent .  You must me ratcheting the cart strap so tightly I'm surprised bag didn't rip.

 

The smart straps on the back of bag are to secure to cart basket to keep from bouncing up/down when 4 wheeling, I don't use them, not really needed.

Normal riding cart, using the pass through slot on one side since it goes back to far where you connect it.  Net is I'm trying not to ratchet it tight.  The caddie master/starter was the one that put it on the cart the other day and i noticed when pulling the putter out and it hung on the strap as I raised it up.
