New York - cool golf stuff

Hi guys

 

im heading off to New York from London next month and keen to do some ‘golf stuff’. I’m not being my clubs so not planning to play anywhere but wondering if anyone would recommend any cool shops/hangouts. 
 

there’s a range at Chelsea pier, PGA tour superstore, but any other thoughts much appreciated! 🙏

I’d go to the Five iron golf in herald square. It’s a simulator place but is really impressive. They have all trackmans and full bar and food

Unfortunately. there's not a lot of cool golf stuff in the NYC metro area. There are a lot of cool private courses that you won't get to play though. If you're not planning on playing golf, I'd sat forget golf on this visit and enjoysome of the many other great things there are to do and see in NY. Enjoy the trip.

If you're only there for a short time and in the city, then I would enjoy the city for all it has to offer and skip the golf angle. If you really want to get in on golf then Chelsea Pier and go get fit for some clubs at True Spec. 

 

If you'll be spending time out of the city you could have lunch at Bethpage, and drive through the parking lots and ogle at some of the famous old money clubs on LI or Westchester areas. The Ferry Point golf course also has a restaurant and views of the city. That said I wouldn't spend the time and energy to do these things unless you'll already be out in one of those directions. Too much fun stuff to do in NYC to consider taking all the time and effort to have lunch at one of those courses.
