How do you get digital tickets if your phone doesn't work in a foreign country

Not sure I'll get much response to this in a golf website, but I assume people out here do other things than play golf, so what the hell. And this particular forum is supposedly for stuff unrelated to golf.

My wife and I got tickets (via ticketmaster) to attend a concert in Wales in May. We are in the U.S. The tickets are advertised as digital only, which means we'll have to access them via the ticketmaster U.K site at some point. I cannot download the ticketmaster U.K. app while here in the states, and I don't think my phone will work while in the U.K., so I have no idea how I'll get the tickets. I've already contacted ticketmaster because I like to plan well ahead, but they have not been helpful at this point. I do have an unlocked phone, so perhaps I could simply get a SIM card when in the U.K. to gain access to U.K. info. I can usually find my way around the latest technology, though certainly not what I would call particularly adept at it. Has anyone else here experienced this sort of situation?

Screenshot your confirmation and save on phone just in case, provided you have location (gps) enabled on your phone, phone will automatically populate to appropriate site once in U.K., provided you contact your carrier regarding international travel beforehand. If contact carrier ahead of time, can set up to work without issue. Ran into similar concern prior to a trip to Ireland before the current craziness and worked out just fine that way.

Or, like mitchell noted, you contact your cell phone carrier beforehand.

For example, we have Verizon. I've used my phone when I had to make a couple of work trips overseas. You notify Verizon that you're traveling, they charge you $10/day that you use your phone internationally, and you get to use all your minutes/data just as if you were in the US. But they only charge you for each day that you actually use data or calling. So you can turn off all data usage from your settings, and then pick and choose if you want to actually use your phone through the cellular network on a given day. If you're traveling for a week and only use your phone on Tuesday and Friday, you pay $20 -- just make absolutely sure you're completely disconnected from any cellular network on the "off" days, or they're probably going to register as days that you used your phone.
