Mizuno wait time?

Made it back to try some new shafts and ended up with the Nippon Modus 115S. Also hit the Dynamic Gold 120 300S but knew right away that one was not a good fit. So now just to see if get my order together and completed. Crossing my fingers.

Was just notified that there's a major back order on the project x 6.0 shafts and they are no longer available.

Ordered JPX 921 Forged with KBS $ Taper shafts on 6/3 from a local shop. Today makes 11 weeks. Still waiting with no update. Reached out to shop to see if they could contact Mizuno for an update but they have not gotten back to me yet. Starting to worry the 923s will be out before I get my 921s in.

Yep!  I emailed Mizuno once more and they confirmed yet again that they have no idea when they will have that shaft in stock.  I know Mizuno doesn't have the market share that Titleist has, but they are still a big brand/player in the sport of golf (many sports actually).  Why does Titleist have the project X 6.0 shaft, quoting 3 weeks on a T100 build and Mizuno is saying that they have no word from True Temper on when the Project x 6.0 shaft will be back in, even saying maybe next year?   Probably sounds like I'm whining, but damn, I really wanted to order irons and I can't without changing my specs.   Did something happen with True Temper that caused the setback?  

 

I've waited for the better part of a year on ordering iron replacements due to supply chain issues, so what is another 5-6 months I guess.......

So these arrived today, six weeks to the day per the date on the Mizuno spec sheet. Unfortunately, they got the order wrong. I ordered DG105 in the 49* to match the rest of my set (as my full shot wedge) and the heavier DG120 shafts in the 54* and 59*. Confirmed the order as such on my 2nd Swing order form, but the Mizuno spec sheet was printed off as DG105 on all three wedges, so it appears someone on the Mizuno end screwed up. I suppose I could just leave it as is, but like others here have said, I paid too much money to settle for what I didn't actually order.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Titleist T100 irons w/ project x 6.0.  I've played Mizuno irons for so long, had a spell with the 718 AP2 irons and 2019 T100, but always went back to Mizuno.  If the new T100 are as good as advertised, then I can't see me switching back anytime soon, if at all.  Really wanted those 223, but oh well, it is what it is.  I called Titleist and they quoted 3 weeks, so hopefully that estimate is right.  

 

Dang Mizuno, why???!!!  lol.

Just got back from my fitting. I currently have the 223's with Modus 115S. Fitter put me into the Project X LS 6.0. Ordered a new set (came out cheaper than re-shafting). Now the wait begins. Set of lightly used 223's will be on the BST in the next couple of weeks.....

Phoned Mizuno this morning and I was told that my order for the 225 irons was shipped out on Aug 17, looks like they should arrive by the end of the week...Order was placed on July 3.

Very nearly 6 weeks from Order to Delivery, makes me wonder if your set-shaft combo is uncommon or if they're getting better at filling orders.

Ordered 223/225 combo with KBS Tour X on 7/22 and they shipped today.

 

They should be here next week which is a little sooner than expected. Seems like shaft choice is largest factor at the moment.

I did this in April when Mizuno was way behind. I ended up getting p770s and unfortunately here I am waiting on this new set

Forgot to mention in here, got my 223's and every club loft was off by 1-1.5 degrees. Ended up swapping shafts, so my club builder just checked them and bent them as needed, but wasn't too surprised they were no correct.

this is my biggest fear. I don’t mind waiting 8 weeks for clubs but to then have all the lofts wrong is a double whammy. This thread has honestly kept me from ordering the 225s that I want. I’ll wait till Mizuno gets a little more availability.

I waited I believe 3 months for the clubs, ordered with PX IO 6.0 Shafts, got them, hated the shaft, order a set of TT Mph 95's and the vibration inserts. Took another month or so to get the shafts, be built, and get in my hands. Ordered beginning of February, finally used them on the course 3 weeks ago. But i did have to have all the lofts adjusted. I am happy with the clubs now, but the entire process was not fun.

Got off the phone with Mizuno. Sounds like the 223 4-iron is backordered until September 8th. Ugh. Also they are not splitting orders anymore but the timeframe from order to shipping is 3-5 weeks. Better than the 6-8 weeks I was told but has since turned into 10+ weeks.

I talked with Mizuno yesterday. 223 and 225 heads are awaiting to be released from customs. Quoted Sep. 7th or 9th. for heads to be there. Could be sooner.

Ordered Mizuno Pro 223 (Mamiya Recoil 95 and tour wrap white) August 10th and they arrived today. Was quoted 4 weeks to ship. 
 

Very happy with the experience. Still find it strange that Mizuno lines the grip up with the 2nd groove rather than the leading edge.

LOL, ordered mine today at Dick's and was told 2-3 weeks.  Sounds like that may be true at this point.  It'd sure be nice to have my new irons by the last week in September...

What shafts did you order?  Shaft availability seems to be one of the reasons for the delays.
