HX-Tour vs ProV1

Golf ball performance

After playing the Callaway HX-Tour ball for a couple of years I am switchig to the Titleist ball. How does the HX Tour ball compare to either the ProV1 or the ProVx ball? Spin, feel, etc.

I think the Prov1 will spin a bit more; it is a little softer cover, and has more bite off the clubface. I think the ProV1x would be most like the HXtour. The ProV1x is a little harder, goes further and doesnt spin quite as much for me. I am about to switch balls too. I play the ProV1 now, but I am getting on staff with Callaway, so I will probably be playing their new I tour ball this year. I have heard good things about it, but have not hit it as yet.

If you don't have experience with the ProV1, why have you up and decided to switch?

Despite what you read on this board, the best way to test a ball is to buy a sleeve or two and test it head up against your favorite ball. You will find out little things that may make a big difference. For example, I will not play the Cally ball b/c I find the gigantic curved logo distracting.
