Comparable Shafts???

I’m looking for a comparable shaft to the fujikura pro xlr8 56 regular flex. This shaft was in my TM M1. I don’t know a lot about golf shafts, but I’m looking for something similar to this as I swung it well.  This new shaft would go in a Callaway Big Bertha b21.  I normally shoot high 80s and hit the driver 230-240 with a high fade.  Thanks!

whilst waiting for others’ suggestions… I found this similar older GolfWRX thread for you, via a Google search  (filtered for GolfWRX specific threads)

my guess= most stock-shafts in similar weight/flex might suit you (given it’s the “middle of the bell-curve” ), especially if was from a Taylormade from similar era… eg the Fujikura Atmos series

 

albeit the XLR8 is slightly counter-balanced  (even then… there’s no real definition/spec for how much ”counter-balance”  there is). 
 

Have you already tried the stock-shaft in your Bertha B21? If so… guessing you didn’t like it (hence the “itchiness” to change shaft?). Am asking because I’d heard that B21’s “RCH” stock shaft was quite decent!

Thanks. Great info.  I’m just exploring options to help with distance and control… the ugly slice that pops in at least once a round. Of course it’s probably the Indian and not the arrow.  😆

I've had trouble matching pro xlr8 shafts as well.  They were/are just perfect for me.

 

Fuji suggests ventus blues but they are slightly heavier.  I tried the motore F1? Or 3 can't recall.  Good but not as smooth.  Good pop like the XLR8...ventus has the opposite, less pop more smooth.  Did hit a 6S ventus black and was surprised how much I liked it, but didn't have a 5x to try, knew it was going to be too heavy. 

 

Still searching but I hit the 51 in Driver, so even harder to find that unicorn again.

You should be able to find one of the orginals and just have it re-tipped.

I've had the XLR8 61 in my bag for 5 or 6 years.

 

At a demo day hit the Ventus Blue and it was great!  Ordered it and then could not hit it.  Did not feel anything like the XLR8 after I bought it (of course!?).

 

Last fall I tried the AD-HD which had a closer feel to the XLR8...maybe worth a try for you.

 

Just bought a spare XLR8 since I can't find anything better for me yet...but I'm trying!!
