Miura MC501 Hosel Stamping Question

I hope I am wrong about this..... has anyone seen a MC501 Black iron with "made in Japan" stamped on the back hosel instead of "forged"

 

Just picked up a set from a WRX'er and although I don't think he's a scammer....good feedback.....I am getting the feeling these are not real. Other than that they look good. 

 

Any knowledge of that info would be apprecaited.

Yes they are engraved with made in Japan. Please post a photo to confirm.

Their older models, I believe up to two years ago only said Forged. All newer irons, wedges now say Made in Japan.

I’ve been told the the MC 501’s stamped with the MG logo should have “Made in Japan” stamped on the hosel.

These were JDM clubs.

The irons without the MG logo were stamped “Forged”.

These were made for the rest of the world.

My dad gamed the Japanese version.

He got them from an old Marine Corps buddy whom he visited often in Hawaii.

I remember him being so excited about having Japan only irons.

Even eBay has counterfeit irons listed occasionally.  Buyer beware. Ask questions.
