Can I put a Single Bend Shaft in a Double Bend Putter?

I have a Stroke Lab Black 10 putter with the Stroke Lab double bend shaft. I don't know why but I like a putter with no offset(could care less about toe hang) is it possible to put a single bend shaft in it?

In most cases, yes.  But with Odyssey, not really.  Their shaft has a funny angle at the head that would make it just about impossible.

The Ten has several different hosels. Can you post a pic of yours from face on and above?

The answer is sort of.  You can install a single bend shaft but you'd have to add a bend above the hosel (like if you were bending the loft strong) to properly align it with the face as the hosel is slightly angled forward.

So in short I would be taking a single bend shaft and turning it into a double bend shaft?

Pulled the existing shaft off today. Didn't think I would come across this. Does this change anything or could I just get either a straight shaft or a single bend and not have to bend it?

Well, I know for a fact that the post can be bent, but I don’t know the limit before it breaks.  You can slip a big crescent wrench over it and bend it, or you can tap on it with a hammer.

So does that mean I would be able to just use a straight bend shaft? 

 

Trying this... Old shaft different direction. So a double bend shaft turned so minimal(only because stud is slanted) offset. But real question is this legal. And would this work. But also is it basically the same as a single bends shaft. Pictures 👇

Tried something I wanted to share.

It's legal and as long as you like it, it's good.  It might alter the way the loft is presented, I couldn't know without really looking it over.  If it is leaning back or forward AND then you hold it straight, then the loft will be altered in effect.
