Would really appreciate swing help, Killing myself but can't figure it out!

Hi all, attached are 4 views of my swing

- Front and Back with driver

- Front and Back with 6 iron

 

I am really struggling with good contact and consistency of strike. If you could please help critic my swing I would really appreciate it. I am watching hours of youtube videos and getting lessons as well. I can tell aspects of my swing (especially at the top of the swing and the transition) don't look right and was wondering what that could be and any drills I could do to fix.

 

My main misses: Heel/hozzle stroke with the irons (poor contact overall); with the driver during my last round I seemed to be push slicing it as well as topping the ball quite a bit, when I went on the range I was hooking the ball much more (weird).

You have a very short backswing and reverse pivot, where your weight in the backswing is already over your left foot. Look how at the top of your backswing you are leaning over the ball and are off balance. This prompts the first move onto your toes in transition and a flip at impact in order to create some speed.

 

I would work on getting more width in the backswing and staying on your right side. Then work on keeping the feet planted in the downswing and just move the arms down and through. You need to get the feeling of releasing the club earlier in the downswing so you can turn through for more power and consistency. Right now you have no space to release the club with such a short backswing and with your weight on your toes you can't clear your hips out of the way.

 

Drill: Do a 9 to 3 drill until you can make good contact. This will force you to stay on your feet and in balance, as well as shorten the backswing and create a better clubhead path. Watch Annika demonstrating here. In the real swing, the only difference will be a wider stance, more arm lift in the backswing, and more arms down in the downswing so you can get on plane.
