Decided on cheap LM before I make decision on New driver

I was about to buy a used Mizuno ST-G 220 to replace my Current R9 460 and R9 TP but seeing as no options around here to get fitted for various shafts I thought maybe I'll get some baselines first by buying used Launch monitor for under $400-500.

So I know that limits me on what to get and yes I want accuracy for spin, ball speed and club speed cause that's what helps choose correct shaft flex, weights compared to just visual.

I was looking at the basic Mevo but seen it doesn't have dispersion so that really sucks not being able to see where bad shots end up but is most accurate for the price. Other than the Rapsodo is there anything else used that I should think of that has dispersion?

I have a bunch of X-stiff and stiff premium shafts to do tests with and will help me decide on other possible shafts once I see my Launch angles, speeds and spins.

Looks like I can Possibly get a R10 used for $300-350 which probably is best bet but incase what's next option if not using for simulator just Stats

With an RCT ball the total spin numbers should be good with R10 in limited flight.  The spin axis will be hit and miss reliant on strike quality. At your price point and if you want shot shape and spin I think it’s R10 or bust.

I haven't tried the Garmin, but I used to mess around with the SC300i when I was gapping my bag. At that price point, I don't think spin is consistently accurate enough to be considered reliable--at least it wasn't with the 300i--the Garmin thread surely has some experience in that department.

 

But either device should be able to replicate club and ball speeds, launch angle. Personally, if I can see launch angle and ball speed figures, my eye can determine whether or not the ball has too much (or too little) spin based on what the flight looks like--does it look like it's floating or falling out of the sky, etc. Are you hitting into a net or taking the device to a range?

This would be hitting into a net cause I sure the hell ain't hitting 100 premium balls out on a range...lol
