Shoving putts instead of rotating putter

Finishing this thread up as maybe still interesting to people not able to close the clubface to impact. So as that method above was not stable enough I looked for other solutions  after watching this interesting youtube. I tried a more upright address more straight arm approach (still somewhat bent) to get the turning point higher.

So before the point in the curve you see a lot of testing and putts almost never were below the 0.8 line and never negative. But after getting more upright I could first time predict if I was too late closing aka shoving the putt or not. Laser still runs on the line, swing still fits on the rail.

A big help is to peripherically see how much your shoulder rotates in the upswing and then from the top of the swing rotate the same amount opposite. Mirror shoulder positions. That is quite easy to do. If you don't do that right from the top you will feel it and immediately know that the face will report open. So in my opinion the push disease is very much coming from rotating too late. For the pusher rotating from the top feels wrong but it is not. The curve does not start from where the ball is, it starts from the top of the swing. So I think those who never saw the left side of the hole, except when they aimed two cups left accidentally, will be able to stop pushing by getting the shoulders open right from the top.

turn shoulders /close -> wait for impact-> open shoulders = fail

turn shoulders /close -> open shoulders = check

Again has to hold up, dont believe it for the next 1000 putts but again promising. I get negatives and feel if I am late. I could not feel or predict anything when more bent over and more bent arms.

So corrected the loop with the skypro path view. Quite unique and normally you would need SAM to see the loop and the changes. So this is with shoulders open and +2 and more degrees open face.

and this is shoulders square and on plane.

The only change I needed to make is shoulder alignment at setup. I was too open. The face is mostly within +-0.5 now. Now the thing is I tried several times to change my shoulder plane but it never worked face was always open. So I guess I needed to learn to swing on plane first. Looks good.

Yes, getting better without the loop, shots gained +1 putting versus scratch, 33 putts is awesome. Before putting was -5. There is still the urge to shove it to the hole aka leaving the putterplane for the vertical plane, so I designed a training aid that will not guide you. Its nice to understand the putting plane with a guided rail, but that has zero value to muscle memory sadly. With my training aid you must get to the correct position with your upswing. you can see stopper is 90° to the putter plane and the putter plane is 70° as my putter.

Will post on Printables when ready.

@KMeloney I tested this Baddeley setup a bit more, this eyes inside and hands up until you feel a slight stretch in the brachioradialis muscle tendon above the thumbs. What seems to happen, beside locking the wrists and making pronation/suppination of the lower arm harder or impossible, it puts your hands and the putter on the most outward arc possible from that setup. That means you will automatically go slightly inside viewed from above and you can not slide onto the wrong vertical plane aka staying on the putting line. Same putting through. This also makes you use a higher lie angle which also makes it easier to stay on the arc and bringst the putter plane closer to the  turning point or shoulder plane.

Beside killing the loop this has maybe the most effect on my puttswing.

Found something else which could be interesting to all shove right putters. It is nice to be able to control the clubface by acceleration. In my case acceleration wrecks the putt. I accelerate with a too short upswing and then the next putt I really swing the putter almost feels like decelerating to the ball but at least not actively accelerating. The numbers are alternating open/square. I guess it depends on how you accelerate. I do with the right hand.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
